Susan's Story

Susan's Story

Many years ago, I started out as a medical researcher with McGill University after earning a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (with an emphasis on Neuroscience). After a career change to McGill’s Management Information Systems, a Certificate In Computer Programming, and a master’s degree in Information Studies, I found myself going down a different path: research into electronic collaboration, or how electronic information could be used and shared more effectively by organizations.

Having led high tech multidisciplinary project teams with the National Archives of Canada, the Electronic Commerce World Institute and the National Research Council of Canada (as well as my own international business), I am grateful for a career that was both challenging and rewarding. Little did I know the best was yet to come!

Throughout my life, I have always had an interest in nutrition; today, I consider it to be a key component of brain health. Realizing the potential synergy with Neurofeedback, I pursued a Certificate in Holistic Nutrition, which I received in 2012. Including nutrition in my overall approach let me add a new dimension of self care for clients dealing with concussion, anxiety, PTSD, Autism, ADHD, migraines, sleep problems, depression and more.

In 2011, I discovered Neurofeedback while consulting with an established Neurofeedback and psychotherapy clinic led by two medical doctors. After witnessing its effects on patients at the clinic and attending an international Neurofeedback research conference, I became convinced of the ability of Neurofeedback to make a difference in people’s lives. After trying a series of sessions myself, I experienced a clarity like never before. I felt more relaxed and started enjoying life more. I saw (and continue to see) Neurofeedback as one of the most important technologies ever invented.

In 2012 I started the Good Vibrations Neurofeedback Clinic to make this amazing technology accessible to more people. I saw it help someone close to me when my sister with Multiple Sclerosis started doing sessions regularly. To say I feel passionate about what I do is putting it mildly!
